The Hamasrek winery is a kosher boutique winery located in Beit Meir. This area was known as one of the best areas for growing grapes and producing wine many centuries ago.
The winery was founded in 2000 and is owned by the sons of the Greengrass family who are third generation in Beit Meir. They produce the wine by themselves, starting from the guidance of the wine growers right up until the corking of the bottles. The vineyards are located in the hills around Yerushalayim but the production takes place in Beit Meir. The winery produces over 2,000 cases of wine per year.
The winery was established with new and perfected equipment that was acquired from the best producers in Italy . The wine is produced in small quantities with much attention being paid to the quality and preservation of the wine.
The winery produces four kinds of wine:
- Cabernet Sauvignon
- Merlot
- Chardonnay and
- Gewvurtzraminer
The wines are available for purchase in stores in New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.
